Sense and sensitivity
Sense and sensitivity, the ups and downs of daily life as a Highly Sensitive Person är en blogg av journalisten Deborah Ward. Hon delar med sig av sin egen upplevelse att vara högkänslig och vägleder oss läsare att förstå oss själva bättre.
Så här inleds det första inlägget på hennes blogg:
”Welcome to my new blog, Sense and Sensitivity. Many people I’ve met in my life have been a bit, shall we say, confused about what I mean when I say I’m a highly sensitive person, or HSP. In fact, those words are usually met with laughter, ridicule or expressions of contempt. I’ve learned to expect it, but I hope that I can shed some light on what it’s really all about.
People who are unaquainted with the phrase tend to think I’m bragging about my huge sense of compassion or my lofty levels of consideration for others. Aren’t I wonderful? I seem to be saying. Aren’t I just so highly sensitive? What this blog is about, however, is not endless ramblings defending the HSP condition or some kind of electronic recruiting station attempting to enlist the unknowing into the HSP lifestyle (it won’t work, I’ve tried). Rather, it is my (sometimes muddled) perspective on life as an HSP and most importantly, what I learn from it on a regular basis.”
